Destination Unknown

Destination is the key
I’ve found the lock with no keyhole
Are you ok day
The phone lies in deathly silence, as expected
My ears ring more life than sciences cables can muster
Or is that monster, the monsters in my dreams

My daily makeup is invisible, yet a mask of iron
My weekend makeup is a layered masterpiece
An hour’s labour can’t hide the soul
Both disguises are showing fatigue
A holiday’s remorse
It should have been more than it was
All that was possible is merely shadows of times past

They say I need to smile more, I should smile more
I smile occasionally, believe me that’s a miracle
The miracle of temporary amnesia
Forget every fucking thing & perhaps you can smile, for a while
My timing is terrible I was told once
It hasn’t improved
